The Lords of Dogtown begins with an early in the morning scene of one of the Z-boys. We see many camera angles during this scene, including over the shoulder, close ups, wide shots, high angles, low angles, as well as what may be a track. Job titles noticed are directors, producers, and designers. The award winning actor is not in the first too minutes, but Skip still deserves recognition. The techniques of switching angles on the same subject does this film well. With a budget of 13.4 million dollars the film did pretty great coming out with 25 million dollars.

The Dirt is a comedy/drama biography of one crazy band. This movie did very well, went from a 10 million dollar budget to making 140 million dollars. I guess we can say Motle crue is still super popular to this day. The opening scene includes costumes of people looking like the 80s. Props are also put to use, such as the old telephones without a screen. The stars in the band receive recognition in the first two minutes and a producer and director did an awesome job putting this whole thing together. I did not find any awards that this film has been given. The opening scene gives an idea of what the film is going to be like with various close ups, high angles, wide shots, shots that look like a tv screen, fast forwarding is used to spice up the scene as well as freeze shots for recognition (based on a true story).
